This policy explains what personal data Easy Chat collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We’ve written it to be readable — not to bury important things in legal language.
1. Who We Are
Easy Chat is an AI agent orchestration platform. The data controller is Morinus LLC (contact: [email protected]).
Your data is stored on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, located in Helsinki, Finland — within the European Union.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the minimum necessary to operate the Service.
From organization accounts (dashboard users)

That’s it. We don’t ask for your name, phone number, address, or payment details beyond what’s required for top-up transactions.
From widget visitors (your end-users)
We do not collect personal data from the visitors who chat through your widget — unless your agent is configured to extract specific fields (e.g., name, email) as part of a conversation flow. That extracted data is:
- stored to be forwarded to you (the organization)
- not used by Easy Chat for any other purpose
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use the absolute minimum:
On the chat widget (visitor side)
- A session cookie to maintain conversation state during an active chat session. It expires when the browser tab is closed. No tracking, no cross-site data.
On the dashboard (organization side)
- localStorage to remember your auth token (depersonalized login detai;s) and organization ID.
We do not use:
- advertising or tracking cookies
- third-party analytics cookies
- fingerprinting or cross-site tracking of any kind
4. How We Use Your Data
Your email address is used for:
- Authentication — logging you into your dashboard
- Transactional emails — account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts
- Service notifications — important updates about the platform (rare)
We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising.
5. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored in the EU (Hetzner, Helsinki, Finland). We apply standard security practices: encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and regular backups.
The underlying AI responses are processed via API calls to a large language model provider. Message content is transmitted to generate responses and is subject to that provider’s data processing terms. We do not send your account data or email to the LLM provider — only the conversation text.

When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
8. Children
Easy Chat is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify registered users by email before the changes take effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
